Machine Introduction

TATE CNC stud welding machine is a new type of CNC equipment developed on the basis of traditional manual stud welding machines, integrating self-developed stud automatic feeding mechanism, automatic welding head, automatic control system, etc. The new generation of CNC stud welding machines has greatly improved production efficiency, reduced production costs, and improved product quality.

CNC stud welding machine can quickly and stably weld multiple specifications of studs on the metal surface, with no dents or protrusions on the back of the plate, eliminating the need for traditional drilling, riveting, arc welding, and post-treatment processes. Through CNC programming, complex welding requirements can be achieved.

It can be equipped with multiple welding heads (1 to 10 welding heads can be selected), welding multiple specifications of studs, replacing manual welding machines, accurate positioning, firm welding, and suitable for a wide range of materials: iron plate, cold plate, stainless steel, aluminum plate, galvanized plate, etc.

Machine Structure

This machine is composed of a rack device, a clamping device, an automatic welding head, an electrical drive system, a welding machine, and an automatic screw feeding device. The detailed description is as follows:

Framework

There are two different structures: “vertical structure” and “horizontal structure”. The overall design draws on the industry’s advanced structural experience and combines our rich design experience.
The machine adopts a steel frame + aluminum alloy gantry structure to ensure the strength of the frame and operating accuracy, and is efficient and durable.

Clamping Device

Mobile or fixed version available upon request. The mobile type can easily clamp workpieces and the angle is adjustable, while the fixed type can clamp products of different heights and the height is adjustable.

Automatic Welding Gun

Welding guns can be divided into vertical and oblique types. It is recommended to use a tilt welding gun. The advantage is that there is a stud clamping and conductive mechanism inside the welding head, which greatly improves the service life and firmness. TATE’s latest CNC welding gun is designed to be more lightweight, compact and durable. Relevant parts have undergone special treatment to ensure the quality and life of the welding gun.

Welding Gun Drive

The height of the Z-axis welding head is adjusted by servo motor or cylinder. The height of the motor is adjustable from 10 to 300mm, and the height of the cylinder is 150mm. For different workpieces, it is generally 150mm and 300mm during programming. The design ensures a large working area, adjustable pressure and easy operation.

Automatic Stud Feeding Device

The automatic stud feeding device consists of a vibrating stud picker + a pneumatic stud feeder + stud detection. The automatic feeder combines our more than 20 years of design and R&D experience to achieve the characteristics of simplicity, ease of use and easy maintenance.

CNC Control System

The electrical drive system is an integrated CNC + servo motor system. The TATE CNC stud welding machine adopts a dedicated multi-axis linkage controller system developed by the industrial robot system. It is stable, reliable, and powerful. The removable human-machine interface color handheld box is easy to operate and positioning. Precise and easy to use.

The three-axis servo motor control system is small in size, easy to install, simple in wiring, and stable in operation. For different products, different quantities, and different management, we can provide a variety of programming methods such as CAD drawing import, teaching, and coordinate position input.

TATE’s new CNC stud welding machine has an infrared indicator, hand wheel positioning, and can import CAD drawings into the machine’s CNC system through a USB interface. The machine will automatically identify the location of the solder joints and the specifications of the studs, and form a processing program file for production. The whole operation process is very simple and convenient.

Welding Power Source And Advantages

It adopts a self-developed digital dual-capacitor welding machine equipped with communication functions. It has two sets of capacitors, one for working and one for storage. The production efficiency is doubled, the use time is doubled, the charging time is almost zero, and there is no standby during the production process. time.

The TATE CNC welding machine power supply can communicate with the control system. It can release different levels of voltage to studs of different diameters according to the control system. This ensures that small studs will not be over-welded and large studs will not be welded. The machine will automatically configure the most suitable current parameters based on the diameter of the stud. One welding machine can weld studs of different diameters at the same time.
Note: Welding machine power sources in the industry use the same current for welding studs of different diameters, which will cause small-diameter studs to be over-welded, but large-diameter studs to be under-welded. They cannot achieve one type of stud for one current, which will result in poor welding quality.
